Mr. Rice has counseled thousands of employees, employers and business owners on employment discrimination matters of all kinds. He is well versed in the myriad issues that can arise for both employees and employers in the workplace, including sexual harassment and hostile work environment, discrimination based on sex, age, race, national origin, disability, arrest or conviction record and sexual orientation, and retaliation for opposing these unlawful employment practices or supporting a co-worker’s discrimination complaint.
Mr. Rice has litigated hundreds of cases before federal, state and local administrative agencies and in both state and federal courts, with most cases settling privately prior to hearing or trial. Mr. Rice also has assisted many employees with the negotiation of severance agreements and the resolution of other workplace matters, enabling them to achieve their goals of terminating or continuing their employment in a positive manner. Also, Mr. Rice has assisted employers in carrying out a fair and expeditious termination process and, where necessary, any related legal proceedings.
